Eurostar

Paris is now only 2 hours 15 mins away from London via Eurostar’s high-speed train link through the Channel Tunnel bringing you out into the French countryside. Total journey time is comparable to travelling by air - and lower carbon emissions means that travelling by train is the more environmentally friendly option!

At about a quarter of a mile long, with over 700 seats, the impressive Eurostar train grabs your attention and carries you on a seamless and relaxing journey to your destination. Plus hassle-free from checking in at the Eurostar terminal in London St Pancras International, Ashford International or Ebbsfleet International to your chosen destination in France.

Eurostar Destinations

With fantastic connections across Europe, Eurostar really is a quick and easy way to travel. For your ski holiday let the train take the strain from the UK through to the heart of the Alps. The Eurostar ski train runs from 10 December 2009 to 17 April 2010. with stops at Moutiers, for Les 3 Vallees, and Bourg St Maurice, for Espace Killy. You can also travel to Paris then catch the SNCF overnight couchette (6 person compartments) arriving the next morning.

Departure Points

Departure points include St Pancras, Ebbsfleet and Ashford. Start your European journey at 1868 the champagne bar in London St Pancras station. It has the longest champagne bar in Europe, where travellers can relax while looking out onto the station platform. There are also several great restaurants available to eat at before boarding your train.

Journey Times

A quick and convenient option for people travelling to France, Eurostar will carry you at speeds of up to 186mph, which means London to Paris is reachable in just over 2 hours, comparable of course with total times spent travelling from airport to airport.

Carbon Neutral

Relax in the knowledge that this way to travel is kinder to the environment; the Eurostar is now a carbon neutral service. Eurostar produces around a tenth of the CO2 produced by flying - and as carbon emissions are offset, a Eurostar journey is actually carbon neutral!
